Asia Symbol capped off 2015 with the prestigious GoldenBee 2015 Award. It was among seven recipients to get the honours under the category “Foreign Investment Enterprises and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Investment Enterprises” for its Sustainability Report 2013-2014.

The Awards commmittee praised Asia Symbol's sustainability report for its richness of data, excellent structure and detailed content.

The seven recipients were picked from 2,265 submissions, and the 3 Dec 2015 award is testament to Asia Symbol's sustainability commitment and drive, recognising the pulp and paper producer's longstanding efforts in environmental and social stewardship.

It was not the only honours earned. Asia Symbol's "I am a little paper maker", a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme that reaches out to primary school students in Rizhao (one of Asia Symbol's operation areas), also received the PR Newswire Best CSR Communications award in Nov 2015.

"I am a little paper maker" has seen over 20 classes conducted and has gained popularity among primary schools in Rizhao.
